Managing Drive Map settings
Drive Map lets you access files in your Online Storage account from your computer.
To Manage Drive Map Settings Using Workspace Desktop v1
- Launch Workspace Desktop.
- Go to the Drive Map tab.
- Specify the following settings:
- Reconnect at login — Select to connect Online Storage every time you start your computer.
- Queue Large Uploads — Upload large files in the background so you don't have to wait to continue working. Select to enable, and then specify the file size limit for uploads.
- Drive Label —(Windows users only) Select a letter to identify Online Storage in Windows Explorer.
- File Download Limit —(Windows users only) Specify the file size limit for file downloads to your computer. Prior to connecting the Drive Map, set the limit, and then click Update.
- Limit Bandwidth — Limits the speed at which queued files are uploaded to reduce the impact on other Internet activity. Select to enable, and then specify the bandwidth speed to upload and download files.
- Click Connect.
Note: Windows Vista cannot access folders or files through Drive Map with names exceeding 100 characters.
To Manage Drive Map Settings Using Workspace Desktop Tools v 2
- Launch Workspace Desktop.
- Go to the Files tab.
- Optional: Select Show indications on icons from backup/syncing to show indicators in the system tray.
- Optional: Select Reconnect mapped network drives at login to connect Online Storage every time you log on to your computer.
- Click Drive Map Options. The Drive Map Options window opens.
- (Windows users only) In the File download limit field, specify the file size limit for file downloads to your computer.
- Optional: Select Queue large uploads to upload large files in the background so you don't have to wait to continue working, and then specify the file size limit for uploads.
- Optional: Select Limit bandwidth to restrict the speed at which queued files are uploaded to reduce the impact on other Internet activity, and then specify the bandwidth speed to upload and download files.
- Click OK.
- (Windows users only) From the Map to network drive list, select a letter to identify Online Storage in Windows Explorer.
- Click Connect.
