Apple Mail (Mac): Set up email
You can set up Apple® Mail on your Mac computer with your Workspace email.
- Open Apple Mail.
- Your next step depends on if you have already set up an email account, or not.
- If you have already set up an email account, click the Mail menu, and select Add Account....
- If you haven't set up an account, skip to the next step.
- If you have already set up an email account, click the Mail menu, and select Add Account....
- Select Other Mail Account, and click Continue.
- Complete the following fields:
Field What to do... Name Enter the name you want to display to others as the email sender. Email Address Enter your Workspace email address. Password Enter your Workspace email address password.
- Click Sign In.
- If you see a message that says Unable to verify account name or password, enter the following details:
Field What to do... Account Type Select either IMAP or POP, depending on what type of account you have. How do I know if I have an IMAP or POP account? Incoming Mail Server Log into your Email Setup Center and find your Incoming server address. Enter the address, here.
Learn more about the Email Setup Center.Outgoing Mail Server In your Email Setup Center, find your Outgoing server address. Enter the address, here. - Click Sign In.
- Choose if you want to include other apps, to use with this account. Click Done.
Next step
- Send yourself a test email from your webmail, to make sure you can receive mail in Apple Mail. And then reply to that message from Apple Mail, to make sure your outgoing server is working, too.
