Add Microsoft SQL Server Web or Standard to your server
You can add Microsoft SQL Server Web or Standard to your Windows server by purchasing a license and then installing it.
Buy a Microsoft SQL Server Web or Standard license
- In the My Server panel, next to SQL Server, click Add.
- Select the version of SQL you want to use.
- Click Continue to Cart, and then complete your purchase.
It can take a few minutes after the purchase before you can install it.
Install SQL Server Web or Standard
- In the My Servers panel, scroll down to the SQL Server section, and click Install.
- Choose the SQL Server edition you prefer, and click Install.
Your server will have SQL Server Web or Standard installed on it within 1 hour.
Note: You cannot use Remote Desktop to access your server while SQL Server Web or Standard is installing.
Next steps
- If you have a Managed or Fully Managed server, you can now add SQL Server to Plesk.
- You can also create an admin user for SQL Server to remotely manage databases.
