Take a screenshot of my Linux desktop

When you contact our 24/7 Support team, we might ask you to provide a screenshot of your desktop to help us resolve your issue.

To take a screenshot of your Linux desktop

  1. Press the Print Screen (Print Screen, Prnt Scrn, prt sc, or PrtScn) key on your keyboard.
  2. To capture only your active window press the Alt key before pressing the Print Screen key.
  3. To capture a specific section of your screen, press shift and PrtScn then left click and drag to select an area.
  4. The screenshot will save as a .PNG file in your /Pictures folder.
