iPad: Set up email
If you want to use your iPad® to check your WorkSpace Email email, we recommend using the built-in Mail application with the settings outlined below.
BEFORE YOU START: To set up your iPad with your email, you need to know your POP or IMAP Email Server Settings and ports. To find them, got to the Email Setup Center and write down the information that displays under Email Server Settings.
- From the Home screen, tap Settings.
- On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- From the Accounts section, tap Add Account....
- Tap Other.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Complete the following fields, and then tap Save:
- Name — The name to display on your email.
- Address — Your email address.
- Password — Your email account password.
- Description — A description of the email address to display in the email account list on your iPad.
- Tap IMAP or POP.
Note: If Workspace Webmail did not provide an IMAP server name for your account, you must use POP.
- Enter your Incoming Mail Server information:
- Host Name — The incoming server name you noted from Workspace Webmail.
- User Name — Your full email address.
- Password — Your email account password.
- Enter your Outgoing Mail Server information:
- Host Name — The outgoing server name you noted from Workspace Webmail.
Note: You must have enabled SMTP relays for your account in the Workspace Control Center. For more information, see See your SMTP relays.
- User Name — Your full email address.
- Password — Your email account password.
- Host Name — The outgoing server name you noted from Workspace Webmail.
- Tap Save.
To Change Your iPad's SMTP Port
- From the Home screen, tap Settings.
- On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap the email account you want to change.
- Tap SMTP.
- Tap the SMTP server you want to modify.
- Tap the Server Port field, and enter the preferred SMTP port: 25, 80, 3535, or, if the customer has SSL enabled, 465.
