Configuring the SMTP Relay Server on Your Linux Server Using cPanel

Note: Before configuring your SMTP relay server, check the Hosting Control Panel to see which mail server you should use. For more information, see Find your email relay server.

To Configure the SMTP Relay Server

1. Log in to WHM (http://[your server's IP address]:2087).
2. Click Service Configuration.
3. Click Exim Configuration Manager.
4. In the Mail section, next to Smarthost support, select the blank text field option, and then enter your server's relay mail server (more info).
5. Click Save.
