Add a subdomain that points to an IP address
Now that you understand what a subdomain is, you can add non-forwarded subdomains that point to IP addresses. If you want to forward a subdomain, see Manually forward or mask your domain or subdomain.
Looks like you're not logged in. If you log in above (under ), we can save you a couple of steps.
- Go to the DNS Management page.
- At the bottom of the Records list, click Add and select A from the Type drop-down menu.
- Complete the other fields:
- Host - Enter the subdomain you want to use.
Note: The subdomain can include a period (.) but not as the first or last character. Consecutive periods (...) are not allowed. A subdomain cannot exceed 25 characters.
- Points to - Enter the IP address you want the subdomain to point to.
- TTL - Select how long the server should cache the information.
- Host - Enter the subdomain you want to use.
- Click Save.

- Log in to your My Products page.
- If you aren't automatically directed there, make sure to select the My Products tab.
- Next to the domain you want to use, click Manage.
- On the DNS Management page, at the bottom of the Records list, click Add and select A from the Type drop-down menu.
- Complete the other fields:
- Host - Enter the subdomain you want to use.

Note: DNS can take up to 48 hours to propagate.
