Find my FTP login/username for cPanel hosting

To upload content to your website, you need your FTP username and password. This article shows you how to find your username; if you need help with your password, see Reset your primary FTP password in cPanel.

  1. Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
  2. In your My Products page, click the triangle next to Web Hosting to see the list of your hosting accounts, and then click Manage for the cPanel hosting account you want to use.
  3. Click cPanel Admin.
  4. In the Files section, click FTP Accounts.

Each of your FTP account's login/user name displays in the Login column next to the user.

Your primary cPanel user displays as the first account in the Special FTP Accounts section.

Warning: All usernames besides the primary user include @[your account's primary domain name] — you must use the entire username when connecting this account via FTP.

In cPanel, you cannot change FTP accounts' login/user names or their paths. However, you can remove an FTP account, and then create a new one. For more information, see:
