Note: Domains registered during Landrush or General Availability will renew at $39.99.
These domain names can have up to 63 characters, with a minimum of 1 character, and can contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd or 4th characters of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #.

Who can register .nyc domains?
To register an .nyc domain name, you must have a physical address in one of the five boroughs of New York. P.O. boxes are not permitted.
Renewals
We'll attempt to auto-renew your .nyc domain on its expiration date. We'll park .nyc domain names after the first failed billing attempt. If the domain isn't renewed within 40 days following expiration, we cancel it and remove it from your account.
Account change and contact updates requirements
Both are permitted, but your fifth contact type (Owner) must maintain an NYC address and the physical address must be in one of the five boroughs of NYC. P.O. boxes are not permitted.
Note: If you need to update the details for your 5th contact, you must contact support.

Nameserver requirements
Two nameservers are required for .nyc domains to resolve, and a maximum of 13 nameservers is allowed. DNSSEC, IPv4 and IPv6 are supported.
