Domain name folders help you organize your domain names in the Domain Manager. You can group multiple domain names together in a folder, making it easier to locate and perform updates on them at one time. You can create an unlimited number of folders and add an unlimited number of domain names to a single folder.
Here's information on creating and deleting the folders, as well as adding and moving domain names around in them.
Create separate folders to store your domain names. Here's how:
To Create a Domain Name Folder
- Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
- Next to Domains, click Manage.
- In Advanced Options under Folders, click Add Folder.
- Enter the folder name and optional description. You can also assign an account administrator.
- Click Save.
You can update the folder name and description for an existing folder.
To Edit a Domain Name Folder
- Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
- Next to Domains, click Manage.
- Hover over the folder to edit. From the drop-down menu, select Edit.
- Update your information, and then click Save.
You can delete an existing folder. Deleting a folder removes it from your account and it cannot be restored.
To Delete a Domain Name Folder
- Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
- Next to Domains, click Manage.
- Hover over the folder to edit. From the drop-down menu, select Delete.
- Click OK.
Note: Domain names residing in the deleted folder are NOT removed from your account.
You can add your domain names to folders once you create them. A domain name can live in multiple folders.
To Add Domain Names to a Folder
- Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
- Next to Domains, click Manage.
- Select the domain names you want to add to a folder.
- From the Organize menu, select Add to Folder.
- Select the folders to move the domains to, and then click Save.
Note: Folders display in alphabetical order.
You can move domain names between folders using these instructions.
To Move Domain Names Between Folders
- Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
- Next to Domains, click Manage.
- Select the domain names you want to move.
- From the Organize menu, select Add to Folder.
- Select the folder you're moving them to and click Save.
- Remove the domains from their original folder by selecting the domains.
- From the Organize menu, select Remove from folder.
- Click OK.
You can remove one or more domain names from folders. Here's how:
To Remove Domain Names from Folders
- Log in to your HostingDude.com account.
- Next to Domains, click Manage.
- Click the folder containing the domain names to be removed.
- From the Organize menu, select Remove from folder.
- Click OK.
Note: Removing a domain name from a folder does NOT remove it from your account.
